Street Party
Quatt village hall is hosting for the Parish, a Community 80th anniversary event for VE day on Sunday 4th May. For those who would like to dress for the 40’s theme of the day, we would love to see your costumes. We will have a land girl on hand, to share the work they did to feed the nation
There will be an exhibition of artefacts throughout the day including from local people’s experience, local historian Clive Gwilt is providing historical documents and Bridgnorth museum is also sharing exhibits
Children will be able to write a letter to a veteran of WWII which brings the era to life for younger people.
There are activities for children, which will include a family 1940’s dance workshop at 12 noon to get us into the spirit of the day.
As music is transformative of the era, Sarah Oliver will be joining us to sing us into 1945 and make this a fun and vibrant event
There will be refreshments to give us a party feel.
Don’t forget your pennies for your raffle ticket and games.
