Ashgrove Road Neighbourhood Watch are organising a Street Party to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. The event will take place on Saturday 3rd May and is designed to bring neighbours closer, celebrate its diverse and caring community and strengthen the bonds that make a bunch of roads feel like a close and safe neighbourhood.
The day is for everyone in the local community: families, friends and neighbours to enjoy live music, childrens entertainment, quiz, bingo, kids games and more. It will create a fun, sociable and relaxing space to simply catch up and connect.
As part of this special day Neighbourhood Watch and Spelthorne Litter Pickers will have a presence to promote the importance of keeping our community safe, looking out for one another, keeping our environment clean & group litter picks.
The event is a chance for local residents to come together not just in celebration, but in shared care and responsibility for where they live.
We always like to donate the money raised at the street party to a worthy cause, and it seems fitting that this years charity is Help For Heroes.
