Meltham Scarecrow Festival is an annual event held on the May Day Bank Holiday each year, which falls on Monday 5th May this year. There is usually a theme for the scarecrows and because this year is the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, our theme will follow this important occasion. Our town will be decorated with bunting and flags and we have booked a BBMF fly past to really mark the occasion. The Spitfire gear boxes are made at David Brown’s (Tractors) which are based in Meltham so this is very special to our town.
