Kirton Brass Band to host concert in celebration of ‘VE Day 80’
The fabulous Kirton Brass Band return to Kirton Town Hall, Kirton, Boston on
Thursday 8th May, this time in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of D Day.
Musical Director, Andy Scott, will lead the band, and audience, in a night of great
music to celebrate this very special occasion. We will also further mark the occasion
by having our audience join in with the nationwide ‘Singalong’ of I Vow To Thee My
Country at the designated time of 9.30PM.
Entry is free to all and there will be a voluntary collection at the end. These
collections will help the band to host more free-to-enter concerts in the future.
Doors open at 7PM for a 7.30PM start. Refreshments available and a raffle to add to
what will be a very entertaining evening.
Newly appointed Band Chair, Sarah-Jane Gregory said
“This is such an important date in the 2025 calendar and the band is delighted that
we are able to lead the festivities in Kirton. I look forward to a night of celebrating
those people who did so much for us all”
