Short talks will take place in the church throughout the day giving an overview of the end of the war. This will be led by our local historian and schoolchildren will be invited to attend one of the sessions. Our Historical Society will provide and exhibition of war memorabilia from around the town with emphasis on how Cheadle played it’s part during this time. War time themed refreshments will be served to visitors throughout the day. Our community band and choir will provide themed entertainment for visitors. Our Town Crier will read the Proclamation and reciting of the Tribute. The beacon will be lit. Timings will follow the National programme.
