A 3 day long celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe. Commencing at 10:00am till 18:00 each day from 3rd to the 5th of May. Located in Aldbourne, Wiltshire, a Village made famous by the exploits of Easy Company – the Band of Brothers. Aldbourne VE Day 80 seeks to celebrate, commemorate, educate and remember the combined allied effort and subsequent Victory in Europe! Over the bank holiday weekend you can look forward to; a Victory in Europe concert, 1940s music night, commemorative unveilings, living history groups, military vehicles and more! 8th of May: The bells will ring out at St Michael’s Church (6:30pm). A remembrance service will be held at Aldbourne Memorial Hall. (9:00pm) The Village will join the rest of the country in participating in the beacon lighting ceremony at (9:30pm). Join us as we celebrate Victory in Europe!
