Veteran Housing Transition Initiative

As part of the VE DAY 80 Legacy Projects, the Veteran Housing Group is pioneering a transformative initiative to support veterans transitioning from supported housing into permanent, sustainable homes. This groundbreaking approach is designed to not only provide secure housing but also to integrate employment training and comprehensive wrap-around support—ensuring long-term stability and success.

For too long, veterans facing housing insecurity have encountered fragmented solutions. This initiative redefines the transition process by creating a fully integrated system where housing, employment, and well-being support work hand in hand. With an ambitious goal of securing permanent homes for 3,000 veterans, this project represents a bold new way of ensuring those who have served our country have the stability they deserve.

This initiative is strengthened by the involvement of specialist organisations with a proven track record of delivering national impact. Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Clubs (AFVBC) will provide vital peer-to-peer support and community engagement, ensuring no veteran feels isolated. Veterans into Logistics will play a crucial role in delivering employment training and career pathways, particularly in the logistics and transport sectors. Their expertise, alongside other key partners, will ensure that veterans don’t just find a home but also a sustainable future.

By leveraging partnerships, community engagement, and innovative housing models, the Veteran Housing Group is setting a new standard—one that doesn’t just place veterans in homes but equips them with the tools and opportunities to thrive. This isn’t just a housing project; it’s a movement towards lasting change, honouring the spirit of VE DAY 80 by delivering a true legacy of support for those who have served.
