Minster on Sea Parish VE Day Event

Join us on Thursday 8 May 2025 as we mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a day of remembrance, reflection, and community spirit.

We will begin the day with the raising of the VE Day flag at 9:30am, accompanied by a special address from a representative of the Royal British Legion.

In the evening, we invite the community to gather once again for the lighting of the VE Day Commemorative Beacon at 9:30pm, a symbolic tribute to peace and victory. The moment will be made even more special with a live performance by the St John Ambulance Band.

Let’s come together to honour the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served—and to celebrate the enduring spirit of our community.

Both events will take place along The Leas, Minster on Sea.
