VE Day 80 BBQ

Long Bennington Bowls Club are holding a couple of events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe day..
On Thursday 8th May at 9am we will be raising a VE 80 flag in line with many locations across the Commonwealth, at 9.30pm we will light a lantern and sing ‘I Vow To Thee My Country”
On Friday 9th May there is a VE 80 BBQ at the clubhouse with a “songs that won the war” sing-a-long, nostalgic music, lots of red, white and blue and a raffle with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion. 1940s dress optional.
As there are no VE Day 80 commemorative events in Long Bennington the bowls club are extending an invitation to non members.
