Street Party
Come and Join us at our village hall on May 8th as we mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
At 0900 we will be joined by local representatives of the Royal Navy to raise the official flag outside Henderson Hall.
In the afternoon bring your entry to the Orange & Ginger Cake baking Competition by 1700, with judging taking place at 1800.
Doors open at 1800 for an evening of dancing and an indoor street party; so bring a plate of food to share!
At 2130 we’ll head outside to light our beacon and sing “I vow to Thee My Country” in recognition of the service of all those involved in reaching the historic VE Day.
Then it’s back inside for more dancing!
A full bar will be available all evening.
