AlliesVE80 is a charity dinner (bring own food) and dance celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe to be held in a stunning marquee on Saturday 10th May in Finmere, Oxfordshire from 6pm (free pre-dinner drinks) to midnight. The event features the Scots Guards Association Pipes and Drums and their Highland Dance Company, Willeys Jeeps, an Exhibition of WW2 weapons and artefacts, a unique colour film of the war by renowned filmmaker Rosie Newman FRGS, portrait photography booth, community singing, paid bar, discotheque, outstanding raffle tickets. In aid of Help for Heroes and local charities.
Our Allies are coming and as a Senior US Air Force Officer told us: “I, for one, will be there, as last year’s event [in Finmere] commemorating the D-Day 80th was absolutely one of the highlights of my time here in the UK” .
