We are coming together at St Marys church at 7pm for a service of remembrance and celebration of our history and our future.
The bells will ring out at 6.30pm.
The doors open at 7pm.
The service will start at 7.15pm including a talk concerning our history and heritage.
The Lantern will be lit at 9.30pm with a 2 min silence followed by the bag pipes.
After the service every one is invited to join us for a fish super (not funded)
On the 10th/11th May we are hosting a 2 day 1940s weekend at Melton Mowbray Town estates, play park from 10-5pm ( Free event)
Re-enactment groups, Displays, singers, Classic cars, Out door cinema, military vehicles. Not forgetting the Lancaster Bomber and spitfire fly past. loads for all the family and our guest of Honour is Mr Roy Palmer Chelsea Pensioner.
