Lighting a Lamp Light of Peace
1830 (Tendring Hundred) Squadron and the East Essex Aviation Society are jointly hosting an evening of commemoration and remembrance.
It is free to attend and look around the museum. Refreshments and Raffle tickets can be purchased on the evening with prizes including Curve Water Park tickets, Vouchers for Morrison’s and East of England Coop and Marks and Spencer’s Biscuits.
There will be a short service of remembrance at 20:30 from Rev Michael Child RAFAC Essex Wing Padre. This will be followed by (a little earlier than scheduled) lighting of candles for peace and singing ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’.
Guests are encouraged to dress in 40’s Style clothing to mark the occasion.
